Report: 2007 National Business Ethics Survey
This report is published annually by the Ethics Resource Center in the US. The latest edition indicates that things are as bad again as they were pre-Enron in 2000. It goes on to show that a largely rules-based approach to ethical failures has itself failed. However, where organizations have really focused on building trusting relationships between managers and workers within the context of an overtly ethical culture, then this appears to be working.  Our own belief is that trust between stakeholders build as a result of dialogue and discussion around shared values, shared challenges, shared decisions and shared behaviours.
