How do we get ethicability®?
By qualifying for the ethicability® standard - an award for organizations that are able to demonstrate a continuing commitment to the highest standards of professional integrity. This can be of immense benefit for organizations that have a regulatory requirement to demonstrate cultural integrity, such as financial services firms regulated by the FSA.
The award confirms that:
1. every employee has been provided with the opportunity to complete a personal integrity profile. The collective norms and benchmarks also provide an organizational health check for the Board and Senior Management Team;
2. every employee has been able to participate in an accredited ethics education programme which develops good judgement, values and behaviours in a social learning environment. Use the ethicability® framework and you can demonstrate you have complied with the rules; been guided by your principles; and considered fair outcomes for all stakeholders. In other words, you've acted with integrity. And by making these decisions collectively and openly in groups, that's how you build a positive ethical culture.
3. this commitment to professional integrity is expressly linked to the appraisal and reward systems for all employees. Research clearly shows that you get the behaviour you reward.
Case Study

12 May 2008: Instinet Europe Limited becomes the latest organization to achieve the new ethicability® standard, awarded to organizations that make "a continuing commitment to professional integrity". The standard requires personal integrity testing, ethics education and an explicit link to the appraisal and reward system for all employees.
